Operational learning framework

See repeated friction before it becomes accepted failure.

RMS is a research and implementation framework for observing organizational drift, turning recurring problems into named traces, testing a correction, and measuring whether the system actually improved.

The operating idea

From weak signal to measurable correction.

RMS detects

Observe recurrence, delay, rework, escalation load, phase mismatch, and other signs that intent and execution are drifting apart.

FIS exposes

Convert repeated operational friction into a visible trace and an intervention anchor that people can name, own, and compare.

EII interprets

Use the advisory layer to compare context, risk, fit, and possible low-disruption actions—without treating the system as an oracle.

1. DetectFind recurrence or drift.
2. ExposeName the visible trace.
3. InterpretAssess context and risk.
4. StabilizeTurn correction into SOP.
5. ExecuteApply the bounded change.
6. RemeasureCheck what actually changed.

FIS trace ladder

Not every incident is a system problem.

Silent FIS

An early weak signal. Record it and watch for recurrence; do not overreact to one event.

FISR

A repeated trace under comparable conditions. The event is becoming a pattern worth investigating.

FUKTIG

Friction has spread across process boundaries through workarounds, delay, rework, or escalating human load.

Drift Mark: a visible intervention threshold and a before-and-after measurement object. It is an operational anchor, not an automatic claim that a root cause—or a physical field measurement—has already been proven.

Research boundary

A framework for disciplined observation—not a replacement for judgment.

RMS and FIS complement root-cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, management judgment, and human review. The framework is deliberately testable: a trace should lead to an observable intervention and a remeasurement surface. The protected dashboard contains internal signals and controls, so access is limited to the existing MW SysArc operator login.
